I have always driven past this plaza many times and never really noticed the little restaurant in the corner. However, this place was recommended by a co-worker .... and did not disappoint. We went there for the dinner buffet and enjoyed every bit of it. We went around early when they were setting up, so the food was very fresh! Most of the items were not that spicy which I appreciated. The onion appetizer, soup and the dessert were exceptionally good. They also serve a fresh fluffy bread after you start the buffet (not the nan) which is really good (ask for it, if you don't get it). The service was very prompt and friendly despite being busy. The tiny restaurant seems to fill up quickly, so maybe reserving a table in advance might be a good idea - if they do that.

I visit this location on a regular basis since I live in the area! First time I visited this location, one of the bartenders asked my name, and remembered it the next time i visited! All of the wait staff are super friendly, and funny! This location has a lot of daily features and drink specials which me and my friends enjoy...Food has always been good, and if there is anything ever wrong or not up to my satisfaction the management and staff make sure it is dealt with so I leave satisfied. Overall great location, close to downtown core, and a good place for grill or pub type food and drinks!

Our server, Megan, was so great! She made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Food was great, but she made our meal. She explained all the covid procedures and was smiling and laughing behind her mask the whole time. That has gotta be tough on all the staff. So appreciated!

For what it is, a overelaborite pita pit is it amazing. Food is amazing , the staff is very nice and you get alot of food. The wait time is a bit long but considering that it is all cooked fresh it is not a big deal. Hey everybody, I went to Sushi Kaika the other day, had a craving for sushi. The place has really changed, since I last visited. Keep in mind even though my recent review was posted recently, I went there 8 months ago. We got our food very quickly, service was great, unlike before. We have a young son, 2 1/2 now, the waitress was talking to him and engaging him in conversation. The food was excellent, if this experience happens all the time at Kaika, you can bet that we'd be going there again.

We go to the Barley Works on Friday or Saturday nights after nine pm to play trivia. We have samples seveal of their menu offerings and really enjoy the perogies and spinach salad. April is a great bartender and we are never left waiting or wondering if we are being taken care of.
Worth the drive to Waterloo if you like a place to sit and play a bit of interactive trivia. So long as you don't mind that it is mostly a student hangout (and we "old fogies" don't mind at all).
